PINTAS is Malaysia’s flagship initiative to establish a world-class commercial space launch facility on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Strategically located in Pahang, the spaceport is positioned near the equator, offering ideal conditions for efficient low-inclination and equatorial orbital launches. 
PINTAS is designed to serve as a regional gateway to low Earth orbit (LEO), MEO and SSO, catering to the rapidly expanding demand for satellite launches, space logistics, and aerospace innovation across Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific.  

A collaboration between public agencies, private industry, and international partners, the spaceport aims to catalyze a thriving national space ecosystem—supporting research, STEM education, high-tech job creation, and the commercialization of space technologies.
